Gov-Enhance Africa Pres. speaks at World Social Forum in Montreal, Canada (Aug 9 – 14)

Gov-Enhance Africa’s President, Zuwa Matondo, will be a guest speaker at this year’s World Social Forum (WSF), hosted in Montreal, Canada from the 9th – 14th of August. Zuwa will be talking on the panel concerning “The Political of Economy of Global Migration” on Friday, August 12th. In particular, he will be presenting on “The Circumstances Under which Citizens Become Migrants & State Responsibility”. This topic will address the often interconnected economic and political situations that have set the tone for large-scale migration flows, the various categorizations of migrants and their impact on policy, public discourse and State Responsibility.

 

The WSF is the largest gathering of civil society to find solutions to the problems of our time. Started in 2001 in Brazil, the WSF brings together in each of its edition tens of thousands of participants to more than a thousand activities (workshops, conferences, artistic performances …) on various themes (social, solidarity economy, environment, human rights, democratization … )
