Gov-Enhance Africa to present at the Agribusiness Summit in Dakar, Senegal

The President of Gov-Enhance Africa, Zuwa Matondo, will attend the 2016 Youth Agribusiness, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship Summit on Innovation (YALESI 2016) in Dakar, Senegal as an Expert Speaker. The Global summit is organized by the Global Youth Innovation Network (GYIN), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), partnered with the Government of Senegal and Arizona State University’s EmPeace LABS project.

The YALESI Summit will be held from March 29th – April 1st, 2016. The goal of the summit is to build the capacity of youth to fight hunger, create jobs, and develop sustainable communities in the 100 countries represented, transforming them into Hunger Fighters, Job Creators, Innovators, and Change Agents. 100 organizations are invited as summit partners. The partner organizations will include 20 government organizations, 20 corporations, 20 international institutions, 20 universities, and 20 media organizations.

Outcomes:
• A publication of the 10 best research papers on the creation of successful youth ventures;
• A manual highlighting 10 proven youth entrepreneurship and financial literacy training
methods;
• A short documentary on 10 innovative agribusiness entrepreneurs and their social impact;
• A catalogue of 200 products and services from youth entrepreneurs;
• A new Global Youth Business Incubation App (GYBI) to nurture youth through the start-up,
growing and sustaining of an enterprise;
• A final Report highlighting 2015 best policy practices and other success stories on how to create
sustainable communities;
• Ongoing mentoring post-workshop between expert and youth participants;
• Further workshops hosted by youth in their local communities post-YALESI;
• Half-day ‘Experts Meeting’ post-YALESI to share insights and develop additional training and
research programs
